Pay Attention to Nutrition Information

Many restaurants and fast food places have their nutrition information online now. Looking at the menu prior to meeting up with friends at a restaurant may help you choose what to eat while keeping in mind your goals. You may also be able to check the amount of fat and sodium in these meals.

Quick Quiz!

True or false? A salad it the best option for me to choose at a fast food place.

This may be false! A salad may not always be the best choice at a fast food place. It's important to take into consideration the toppings on salads as well as salad dressings. Fruits and vegetables are important to incorporate into your diet! Ask for salad dressings on the side or pick a salad that incorporates a protein source such as chicken.

Listen to Your Body

Listening to your hunger cues can be confusing. It has been suggested to think of how hungry you are on a scale from one to ten. It may take up to 20 minutes for your brain to register how full you are. Take time to eat and enjoy meals! Food can be taken home from a meal and be eaten the next day.
